For the first time in many years, I’m going to try running Firefox as my default browser. As much as I generally love Safari, new versions have seriously nerfed extensions, and I think I’d prefer to be running EFF’s Privacy Badger rather than an ad blocker. (We’ll see.)
Watts Martin @kulturnation I always feel like such an outlier for rarely having more than a dozen tabs open. :) Privacy is definitely an issue for me—I generally trust Apple and Mozilla to take it seriously, but Google, ah…less so.
Watts Martin @sgtstretch I use very few extensions and the essential ones for me still work, but there’s some I don’t think can work at all in the new model. I’m not terribly worried about “walled gardens” when it comes to extensions, but I’m concerned a bit about basic functionality.
